Nick Stonnington has been a wealth advisor since 1983 and founded Prime Capital Financial of Los Angeles (formerly Stonnington Group) in 2004 to provide clients with a platform for independent fiduciary advice. He and his team manage client investments and deliver comprehensive financial planning services. In addition, Nick owns Payroll Ready, a payroll company.

A sought-after investment professional, Nick has been a frequent guest commentator on KFWB News 98 (Los Angeles) and his expertise has been featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Investment News, and Investment Advisor. His research has appeared in Family Wealth Report, and he has contributed investing articles to numerous industry journals, including Worth Magazine.

Nick has presented at major industry conferences on philanthropy and socially responsible investing, including the Milken Global Conference. He has also served on several government commissions, including the Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension Department (as president of the board), the Los Angeles Fire Department, and the Los Angeles Planning Department.

His philanthropic commitments are extensive. Nick has served on the national board of Girl Scouts of the USA, and the boards of The Music Center, LA Opera, United Way of Greater Los Angeles (as chair of the Tocqueville Society), Los Angeles County Natural History Museum, American Friends of Salzburg Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Pacific Oaks College, Don Bosco Tech High School, and co-chaired the San Marino Library campaign.

Nick’s awards include Father of the Year, the Governor’s Award from the Pacific Coast Circuit of the United States Polo Association, and the Linfoot Award for his contributions to polo. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, class of 1978.
